If you fail to plan – you plan to fail

If You Fail To Plan – You Plan To Fail, As The Saying Goes – How To Avoid That Happening To Your Business
Internet businesses don’t “all of a sudden” fail. It takes months, and years, before a successful business will eventually die. If it’s a small company, it may never get off the ground. Technically, the business doesn’t “die” in this case. It just never gets established. In both cases, a business failure is caused by improper planning.
A business plan doesn’t just include sales projections (although this is part of it). A plan consists of defining a corporate vision, making a sales and marketing plan, and devising goals that make sense for the company.
http://www.the-eba.com/
Defining A Corporate VisionEven online companies need a vision statement. Without it, the company degenerates into another “.com” tragedy. You can’t know where you’re going if you don’t have a corporate vision. A vision is like the dream you have for your company. It’s the end-point on a road map If you have goals without a purpose or corporate vision, you are basically going to “drive aimlessly on a road map” Since you have no destination, no end-goal, no purpose for doing what you’re doing, you can never formulate a business plan that makes sense for your company.
The best way to formulate a good corporate vision is by writing down an action statement. This action statement could be anything, but it should encapsulate the essential nature of your company and what you’re trying to do. If you’re too vague, you won’t have anything to work towards, so be specific. For example, if you’re a bank, your vision might be to “make loans” or “to lend money to customers and help them fulfill their financial goals.”
A corporate vision that is both specific and action-oriented guarantees that your company is action-oriented. Action statements are, by their very nature, concrete and have a way of solidifying what it is you’re trying to accomplish. If you ever get confused, or feel lost, you can look at that action statement and regain your focus.
Make Your Marketing PlanIn the online world, it’s all about SEO, paid traffic, and conversion. Most people mistakenly believe that online businesses can just “exist.” In other words, “if you build it, they will come.” That might have been true in the early 1990s, but you can’t get away with that kind of strategy anymore.
A legitimate business needs backlinks to help build traffic to the site. Backlinking is a long-term marketing strategy. It’s designed to improve search engine rankings slowly, but when you are well-positioned in the major search engines, it really takes a lot to lose your ranking.
Paid traffic includes pay-per-click marketing, banner ads, and other forms of paid advertising. Perhaps the most well-known form of advertising online is Google’s Adwords. This type of advertising drives immediate traffic to your website. It tends to be more expensive than SEO over the long-term, but you get to control the quality of leads and the sales message. You can also change your ad campaign “on the fly” with platforms like Adwords.
Part of running a successful paid campaign is running numbers and coming up with a hypothetical profit. Then, run the campaign and tweak as necessary.
For example, when you run a test campaign, try to shoot for a click-through rate of about 6 to 10 percent. This is a very solid CTR for Adwords. Along with a good CTR, you want a good conversion and cost-per-click. If your conversion is 6 percent, but the clicks are $5 a piece and it nets you $2, then that campaign is unworkable. It would obviously be better to have a 4 percent CTR with a cost-per-click of $2 and sales yielding $5 per click.
For SEO, focus on strategies that will yield long-term benefits and not short-term benefits. The so-called “Black Hat” SEO strategies might yield good results in the short-term, but you risk being banned from the search results if you’re caught. Worse, you could end up wasting a lot of money and time employing shady SEO tactics and still not get the same kind of targeted traffic that’s possible with a good paid campaign.

10 ways to instant build self confidence

Self Confidence Suit

Self confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality — the more self confidence you have, the more likely it is you’ll succeed.

Although many of the factors affecting self confidence are beyond your control, there are a number of things you can consciously do to build self confidence. By using these 10 strategies you can get the mental edge you need to reach your potential.

Talk To Somebody Now about building Self Confidence!

Build Self Confidence

1. Dress Sharp

Although clothes don’t make the man, they certainly affect the way he feels about himself. No one is more conscious of your physical appearance than you are. When you don’t look good, it changes the way you carry yourself and interact with other people. Use this to your advantage by taking care of your personal appearance. In most cases, significant improvements can be made by bathing and shaving frequently, wearing clean clothes, and being cognizant of the latest styles.

This doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot on clothes. One great rule to follow is “spend twice as much, buy half as much”. Rather than buying a bunch of cheap clothes, buy half as many select, high quality items. In long run this decreases spending because expensive clothes wear out less easily and stay in style longer than cheap clothes. Buying less also helps reduce the clutter in your closet.

2. Walk Faster

One of the easiest ways to tell how a person feels about herself is to examine her walk. Is it slow? tired? painful? Or is it energetic and purposeful? People with confidence walk quickly. They have places to go, people to see, and important work to do. Even if you aren’t in a hurry, you can increase your self confidence by putting some pep in your step. Walking 25% faster will make to you look and feel more important.

3. Good Posture

Similarly, the way a person carries herself tells a story. People with slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self confidence. They aren’t enthusiastic about what they’re doing and they don’t consider themselves important. By practicing good posture, you’ll automatically feel more confident. Stand up straight, keep your head up, and make eye contact. You’ll make a positive impression on others and instantly feel more alert and empowered.

4. Personal Commercial

One of the best ways to build confidence is listening to a motivational speech. Unfortunately, opportunities to listen to a great speaker are few and far between. You can fill this need by creating a personal commercial. Write a 30-60 second speech that highlights your strengths and goals. Then recite it in front of the mirror aloud (or inside your head if you prefer) whenever you need a confidence boost.

5. Gratitude

When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you can’t have it. This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses. The best way to avoid this is consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. You’ll be amazed how much you have going for you and motivated to take that next step towards success.

6. Compliment other people

When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to others in the form of insults and gossip. To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising other people. Refuse to engage in backstabbing gossip and make an effort to compliment those around you. In the process, you’ll become well liked and build self confidence. By looking for the best in others, you indirectly bring out the best in yourself.

7. Sit in the front row

In schools, offices, and public assemblies around the world, people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room. Most people prefer the back because they’re afraid of being noticed. This reflects a lack of self confidence. By deciding to sit in the front row, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence. You’ll also be more visible to the important people talking from the front of the room.

8. Speak up

During group discussions many people never speak up because they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. This fear isn’t really justified. Generally, people are much more accepting than we imagine. In fact most people are dealing with the exact same fears. By making an effort to speak up at least once in every group discussion, you’ll become a better public speaker, more confident in your own thoughts, and recognized as a leader by your peers.

9. Work out

Along the same lines as personal appearance, physical fitness has a huge effect on self confidence. If you’re out of shape, you’ll feel insecure, unattractive, and less energetic. By working out, you improve your physcial appearance, energize yourself, and accomplish something positive. Having the discipline to work out not only makes you feel better, it creates positive momentum that you can build on the rest of the day.

10. Focus on contribution

Too often we get caught up in our own desires. We focus too much on ourselves and not enough on the needs of other people. If you stop thinking about yourself and concentrate on the contribution you’re making to the rest of the world, you won’t worry as much about you own flaws. This will increase self confidence and allow you to contribute with maximum efficiency. The more you contribute to the world the more you’ll be rewarded with personal success and recognition.

Google offers free websites to Indian SMBs - Introduces ‘India Get Your Business Online’ program

Today Google India is announcing ‘India Get Your Business Online’, a first-of-its kind program to offer free websites, domain & hosting services to small medium businesses in India. Designed with local partners, the program provides Indian businesses the tools and resources to establish a website, find new customers, and grow their businesses.

The initiative aims to break down the barriers that stop small businesses from getting online - by offering a quick, easy and free tool to set up and host a website. Our goal is to help 500,000 small medium businesses in India to get online in next three years through this program, with our partner HostGator. Small business owners in India can logon to www.indiagetonline.in and use the tool to get a free, easy-to-build website and web hosting for one year powered by HostGator. Businesses will also get a customized domain .in name and free tools, training and resources to succeed online.

While India is home to an estimated 8 million small medium businesses, only about 5% have a website. This program is designed to bridge the information gap that exists online due to the lack of presence of local Indian businesses on the Internet. Businesses often believe that getting online is too complex, costly and time-consuming; this perception prevents many SMBs from taking the first step towards building an online presence. Google India and HostGator plan to change that through this initiative. In addition, HostGator will also offer free support in creating, hosting and managing the website for a period of one year without any cost through its toll free call centers 1800-266-3000.

So what do Indian businesses get:

* Free: It’s free to set up your website. The domain is free for 1 year, and it’s free to maintain your website for 12 months.
* Quick: The website tool takes 15 minutes from sitting down to being found online
* Easy: You don’t need to be a tech whiz to get started. All you need to start is your address, phone number, TAN/CIN or PAN to verify you as a business
* The website is simple because customers are looking for simple information online
* Gives you your own .in domain
* Other features include photos/logos, integration with social media platforms
* You get a Google Apps account - free personalised email ids
* If you want to make your website work harder, you’ll have access to steady stream of free tips and tools from the Getting Indian Business Online team and a free coupon of worth Rs. 2500 INR advertising trial from Google AdWords to help promote your site.
* After the first year, SMBs can choose to pay a monthly pay-as-you-go to maintain their website using hostgator.
* At the end of the first year, they’ll have to pay a nominal charge if they wish to renew their domain name. They can cancel their website at any time.

India get your business online program is also supported by Federation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), popularly known as FISME. FISME, the non-profit organisation will work with Google India to help SMBs get online through direct customer outreach and events.

So what are you waiting for, just log on to www.indiagetonline.in and create your website in 15 minutes.

You Can Win

1. WE DON’T HAVE BUSINESS PROBLEMS WE HAVE PEOPLE PROBLEMS.

When we take care of our people problems, most of our business problems are automatically resolved.

2. WHENEVER A PERSON SAYS I CANNOT DO THIS HE IS REALLY SAYING TWO THINGS.

  1. Either I don’t know how to do it - which becomes a technical training education issue

OR

  1. I don’t want to do itin this case he is really saying two things again

    1. Either I don’t care to do it - that’s an attitude issue
      OR
    2. I feel strongly enough not to do it - which becomes a value issue

ATTITUDE - Increase productivity and profit by developing a ‘Can do Attitude’.

We have asked many decision makers this one question.
“If there was one thing that would make your organization more productive what would that be?”

Pretty much everyone came back with one word ATTITUDE. They said if our people have better attitude we would have a better teamwork, quality and bottom line would go up.

How come under the same set of circumstances some people break records while others break themselves.

OUR ATTITUDE

Everyone wants to climb the ladder to success only to find that the ladder is leaning against the wrong building.

There are customer service and selling skills programs that teach, "How to say please, thankyou, and smile". The big question comes how long can we keep a fake smile. Besides people can see through people, can’t they? If the smile is not sincere it is irritating, isn’t it? That means we need to have substance over form, not form over substance.

Unlike most professionals who keep telling others,
What to do,
We take an approach
Why don’t you,
because we believe most people already know what to do.

If you ask the person on the street they will give you all the right answers. Ask them,
are they doing it?
Probably not.

What’s missing is the MOTIVATION; the big question is,
can we motivate people?
Absolutely not

What we can do is, we can inspire people to motivate themselves.Inspiration is thinking whereas motivation is action. I cannot act for you; you have to act for yourselves. When thinking changes it starts reflecting in behaviour. Which is more lasting, and that’s what people are looking for, aren't they?

Two major questions:

  1. Why do people get de-motivated?
  2. Who or what motivates the Motivator?

I.T. certainly has increased the speed of communication no doubt, but unless people know how to and what to communicate, they will only miscommunicate a lot faster, won’t they? Guess what is the cost of miscommunication faster? It is horrendous, isn't it?

Self-esteem is the way we feel about ourselves. When we feel good, the world looks nice, productivity goes up and relationships are a lot better. The reverse is just as true. Self-esteem is inversely related to egos.

Have you seen people with egos like,
I know it all.

What do they do?
They talk down to others, don't they? They put down others, don't they? They look down upon others and every decision they make is more to satisfy ego than make sense.

Question is, why does a human being put down another human being? It is sadistic but true there are some people in this world who feel good when the other person feels bad.

There is another kind of ego which is 'FRAGILE EGO’ - where any thing you say, I take it personally and get hurt. What do both these egos do to teamwork? - DESTROY IT.

Why do people deal with us? Not because we are the smartest people but because they feel comfortable dealing with us.
What gives them the feeling of comfort? It is the X factor. How do we build the X factor?
People don’t care how much you know they want to know how much you care.

Unless people have individual goals, how can they tie-up with corporate goals? Goal setting includes a holistic approach which means people take family problems to work and bring work problems
to family
. Don’t they?

There is no such thing known as neutral leaders. Either they are good leaders or bad leaders.
Good leaders actively guide, bad leaders actively misguide. Good leaders look to create more leaders, bad leaders look to create followers. Why? Because they feel insecure.

It is not problem solving but pre-empting and preventing.

Profitability is not only money but goodwill too.
Profitability is not the reason why we practice values. We practice values because we believe in them. When we believe in something, we will or won't do things, even if no one is watching.

All of the above is only theory unless we have a system to put it in practice.

WHAT makes our program unique is that participants leave our program with an action plan, which can be implemented immediately. Over 24,000 people have benefited from our dynamic programs.

Remember, “WINNERS DON’T DO DIFFERENT THINGS,
THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY”

Maximum Time Managemen

Golden Rules of Goal Setting

Five Rules to Set Yourself Up for Success

Rule #1: Set Goals that Motivate You
To make sure your goal is motivating, write down why it's valuable and important to you. Ask yourself, "If I were to share my goal with others, how would I tell them to convince them it was a worthwhile goal?" You can use this motivating value statement to help you if you start to doubt yourself or lose confidence in your ability to actually make it happen.

Rule
#2: Set SMART Goals
You have probably heard of "SMART goals" already. But do you always apply the rule? The simple fact is that for any goal to be achieved it must be designed to be SMART. There are many variations on what SMART stands for, but the essence is this - Goals should be: Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time Bound

Rule #3: Set Goals in Writing

Tip 1:
Frame your goal statement positively. If you want to improve your retention rates say, "I will hold on to all existing employees for the next quarter" rather than "I will reduce employee turnover." The first one is motivating; the second one still has a get-out clause "allowing" you to succeed even if some employees leave.

Tip 2:

If you use a To Do List, make yourself a To Do List template that has your goals at the top of it. If you use an Action Program (see Mind Tools' Make Time for Success! course), then your goals should be at the top of your Project Catalog.)

Rule #4: Make an Action Plan
This step is often missed in the process of goal setting. You get so focused on the outcome that you forget to plan all of the steps that are needed along the way. By writing out the individual steps, and then crossing each one off as you complete it, you'll realize that you are making progress towards your ultimate goal. This is especially important if your goal is big and demanding, or long-term. Read our article on Action Plans for more on how to do this.

Rule #5: Stick With It!

Remember, goal setting is an ongoing activity not just a means to an end. Build in reminders to keep you on track and remember to review your goals continuously. Your end destination may remain quite similar over the long term but the action plan you set for yourself along the way can change significantly. Make sure the relevance, value, and necessity remain high.

Key Points

Goal setting is much more than simply saying you want something to happen. Unless you clearly define exactly what you want and understand why you want it the first place, your odds of success are considerably reduced. By following the Five Golden Rules of Goal Setting you can set goals with confidence and enjoy the satisfaction that comes along with knowing you achieved what you set out to do. What will you decide to accomplish today?

Is Time Really Money ?

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get rich easily, while others are destined for a life of financial struggle?

Is the difference found in their education, intelligence, skills, timing, work habits, contacts, luck, or their choice of jobs, businesses, or investments?

Is there a "money and success blueprint" out there?

There is some great discussion in response, but one reply in particular made me stop and think.

Seven Rules of Motivation

#1 Set a major goal, but follow a path. The path has mini goals that go in many directions. When you learn to succeed at mini goals, you will be motivated to challenge grand goals.
#2 Finish what you start. A half finished project is of no use to anyone. Quitting is a habit. Develop the habit of finishing self-motivated projects.
#3 Socialize with others of similar interest. Mutual support is motivating. We will develop the attitudes of our five best friends. If they are losers, we will be a loser. If they are winners, we will be a winner. To be a cowboy we must associate with cowboys.
#4 Learn how to learn. Dependency on others for knowledge supports the habit of procrastination. Man has the ability to learn without instructors. In fact, when we learn the art of self-education we will find, if not create, opportunity to find success beyond our wildest dreams.
#5 Harmonize natural talent with interest that motivates. Natural talent creates motivation, motivation creates persistence and persistence gets the job done.
#6 Increase knowledge of subjects that inspires. The more we know about a subject, the more we want to learn about it. A self-propelled upward spiral develops.
#7 Take risk. Failure and bouncing back are elements of motivation. Failure is a learning tool. No one has ever succeeded at anything worthwhile without a string of failures.

It's Time For

"Desire is the Key to All Success & Achievement"

It's Time For You To

  • "Achieve Your Goals"
  • "Become Super-Successful"
  • "Live Your Dreams"

  • Achieving anything is not that hard. All it takes is doing what needs to be done long enough to produce results.
  • Drive around any city and you will see many large, expensive, custom homes with expensive cars in attractive, well-maintained front yards. Just the kind of neighborhood you would like to live in, right? It's sometimes hard to believe that there are that many people making enough money to afford to live in these exclusive, private communities.
  • The people who live there are a very diverse group. They are young and old, represent every religious and ethnic background and come from poor and wealthy parents.
  • There is very little to separate these successful people from the people who live in much smaller track homes just down the street. If you did a very complete study of the differences between these very successful people and there not so successful neighbors you would see some obvious things.
  • Of course you would see they have bigger and better things: back accounts, education, careers or businesses, toys, etc. You would also see that they do more things: vacations, club memberships, charity, and so on.
  • Having and doing these things is not what allowed the luxury of living in the exclusive neighborhood. The having and doing is a result. The results illustrates the dramatic differences between the haves and the have-nots.
  • It is the cause of these awesome results that is important. Here is where you will find great differences between the custom and track home owners.
  • It's a pretty simple difference. Successful people start to do things, figure out how to get successful results from what they are doing and they continue doing those things that get the results they want.
  • There can be a lot involved making that simple formula to work for you. But it all boils down to one key difference between the achievers and those that miss out. In our study of two neighborhoods the biggest difference you would find in the people would be the level of desire in the people.
  • At the core it is desire that fuels your effort to achieve. If your desire is not enough to drive you to success don't despair. Desire is in all of us. It is the amount that is important. If you need more I can show you how to get it. To find out how request the Free Report in the upper left hand corner of this page. It's that easy. Fill out your name and email address and click on the submit button. You will receive the Free Report on how get all the desire you need to

Live Your Dreams.

Watch the Hajj in Saudi Arabia—the world’s largest pilgrimage—live on YouTube

Nearly 2.5 million Muslims will officially begin the annual Islamic ritual of the Hajj on November 5, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Hajj represents one of the five pillars of Islam; it requires all Muslims around the world who are able-bodied and can afford it to perform the pilgrimage once in their lifetime.

The Hajj is an ancient ritual, but now, through the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information's YouTube channel, millions of people from around the world will be able to experience and comment on the event by tuning in via video.

Earlier this year, Google with the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information to broadcast Islamic prayers live during Ramadan from the Holy Masjid in Makkah for the first time. In continued cooperation with the Ministry, we’re now able to live stream the Hajj on YouTube for the first time.

The stream will be live on Saturday, November 5 at http://www.youtube.com/hajjlive.

You Can Win
